Here’s how to make it:
1 Cup Rice
2 Cups Water
Bring the water and rice to a boil, then place a lid on the pan and reduce to simmer for 15 minutes. At 15 minutes, when rice is cooking, yet there is still moisture, add another 2 cup of water. Simmer for another 15-20 minutes. You should have about 1 inch of water over the rice, and it will be milky in consistency. Add sugar and cinnamon, and pour off the rice water into a cup. You can continue to add water to the rice to make more rice water.
This is a very soothing remedy for any kind of stomach pain, and if you’re sick, the sugar (or agave) will give you a boost of energy. Cinnamon is a natural anti-inflammant, so it will help bring swelling down as well.
